It’s time to end TB - building a global movement through advocacy

Plenary

 

In this session, speakers, through their lived experience as TB survivors and #EndTB advocates, will showcase the power of advocacy as a key driver of change – and as central to unlocking resources and policy shifts necessary to realize the achievement of the SDGs. Advocates from Canada, Kenya, and India will engage in a discussion of how advocates from the North and South – and advocates who link the two – can line up the dominos and apply smart, strategic pressure to generate real impact.

Led by former political staff, this workshop with equip you with the skills needed to have successful meetings with parliamentarians, demystify the role of parliamentarians, and help you answer tough questions from parliamentarians and political staff about international development.

Get an overview of the best practices for online advocacy with practical tips for amplifying actions online. We will explore effective ways to engage with policymakers and decision-makers through digital platforms to be effective advocates in the digital age.

Advocacy Olympics

Workshop

 

An interactive teamwork activity that brings together participants to showcase and apply the skills they've learned at the national conference. The competition is a race, where teams have to complete tasks in various areas of advocacy including parliamentary engagement, media writing, fundraising, and more.

Hill Day preparation: get ready for Results’ day of action on Parliament Hill

This workshop will equip participants in Results’ Hill Day with the tools, knowledge, and supports needed to succeed in meetings with parliamentarians on Monday May 8.
